Cary, NC, December 2, 2021 – Businesses with 100 employees or more have just a few short weeks to document the vaccination status of their employees against COVID 19 and begin testing non-vaccinated employees. The SiteClear Vaccination Registry, developed by Smartlink Health Solutions, a leading provider of proactive health and wellness management solutions, is the right technology, at the right price, to help all businesses establish and maintain compliance with Federal regulations. The SiteClear Vaccination Registry has already incorporated feedback from clients to enhance the platform and make it even easier for employers to account for their employees.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released an emergency temporary standard (ETS) earlier this month requiring private employers with 100 or more employees to require COVID-19 vaccination or weekly testing and masking for their unvaccinated employees. The ETS requires covered employers to ensure all unvaccinated employees working in person begin wearing masks by Dec. 6, 2021, and provide a negative COVID-19 test on a weekly basis beginning Jan. 4, 2022.
While many lawsuits have been filed challenging the ETS throughout the country, White House spokesperson Jen Psaki has repeatedly directed employers to continue operating on the assumption that the ETS will survive and that we are still heading towards the same timeline. Assuming the ETS is upheld, after Jan. 4 employers could face significant consequences for not having met the requirements.
SiteClear Vaccine Registry, announced previously, is one of the most user-friendly dashboard and compliance management tools available. The platform gives employers an easy way to track and manage the vaccination and testing status of their employees, including reminders to make sure employees are following the timeline of Federal protocols and alerts of non-compliance issues.
“The devil is in the details with keeping track of employee status and ensuring that businesses maintain compliance with federal regulations,” says Ginny Mahaney, Chief Commercial Officer at Smartlink Health. “Since launching SiteClear Vaccine Registry, we’ve continued to add innovative features to help address the challenges that our clients are facing.”
Features added to address the complexity of this rule are ongoing and happening at the speed of now. Some of these improvements include enhanced group messaging, customizations for testing oversight of employees with irregular schedules, and telehealth to allow centralized employer proctoring of antigen testing.
“COVID has already put a large strain on employers,” said Smartlink Health CEO and founder Siu Tong, PhD. “ SiteClear is the best way forward to ensure businesses are following the law, keeping their workforce safe, and avoiding thousands of dollars in fines.”
The cost for SiteClear is just a few cents a day per employee, per month, with a nominal set up fee. The SiteClear Vaccine Registry is offered stand-alone or as part of the SiteClear Enterprise solution, which also includes symptom tracking and contact tracing.
